The core of anti-slip glass lies in its surface anti-slip treatment. Our factory primarily uses a physical etching process to produce this type of glass. Unlike chemical sandblasting, the glass surface after etching is more uniform and durable, with no noticeable graininess.
The production process consists of three steps: First, tempered glass is selected as the substrate to ensure the glass itself has excellent impact resistance. Second, a CNC etching machine is used to engrave uniform, fine micrometer-scale patterns onto the glass surface. The depth of these patterns is precisely controlled between 0.1 and 0.2 mm, ensuring both effective anti-slip performance and maintaining the glass’s light transmittance.
Finally, the etched glass is cleaned and dried to remove surface impurities, enhance surface smoothness, and prevent dirt and grime from accumulating.
The wet-state coefficient of friction for anti-slip glass is ≥0.8, meeting safety and anti-slip standards. It is suitable for use in wet areas such as bathrooms, poolside areas, and corridors in nursing homes. The thickness varies from 8 to 12 mm depending on the application scenario. For outdoor applications, additional anti-corrosion treatment can be applied to extend its service life.
During processing, it is essential to precisely control the density and depth of the etched patterns to avoid issues such as uneven anti-slip performance and glass damage.
