When decorating, oil-sand glass is often chosen for partitions, but it frequently receives complaints about leaving marks after cleaning, poor privacy, and its tendency to shed sand particles.

Choosing the right craftsmanship is crucial: Don't buy oil sand that's falsely labeled as spray-painted—opt for high-temperature sintered versions instead. These have a durable, non-fading sand surface that won’t peel off, and you don’t even need to worry about it getting scratched when wiped with a hard cloth.

Choose the one with textured oil sand on one side, with the textured surface facing inward, while the other side is smooth for easy cleaning. Ideally, it should have a hydrophobic coating—water droplets will simply slide off without leaving behind any stains.

When purchasing, gently scratch the sand surface with your fingernail—if there’s no sign of material coming off, it’s considered合格 (qualified). Pour a little water onto the smooth surface; if the water leaves no visible marks, it’s a high-quality product. Finally, test its privacy right on the spot: stand about 1 meter away—only if you can’t clearly see inside from that distance is it deemed to meet the standard.

The bathroom uses 8mm-thick material, while the wardrobe doors are made of 6mm for both privacy and lightweight convenience.
