Banks and security engineering projects often encounter issues when purchasing bulletproof glass—such as failing to meet required protection levels, exceeding weight standards, or having poor light transmission—which can inadvertently create safety hazards.

 Bulletproof Glass (5)

Bulletproof glass is categorized by its bullet-resistance level (per GA 165 standard) and laminated structure: Choose B6 grade (3+3 laminated) for protection against handgun bullets, and B7 grade (5+5 laminated) for protection against rifle bullets.

Key procurement controls: First, verify the certification grade to prevent merchants from falsely reporting the protection level; second, measure the light transmittance—products meeting the standard must have ≥85% transmittance, ensuring no compromise to monitoring clarity.

Third is the nuclear weight—select an appropriate thickness based on the installation structure to ensure the load does not exceed the specified limit. Suitable applications: Choose B6 grade for bank counters, and B7 grade for armories.

Attention: A live-fire test report is required. Ensure optimal protection by installing it with the dedicated bulletproof adhesive strip during setup.
